“The Showcase Series” provides choreographers with a venue to share new movement and ideas at different stages in their process while also allowing them to promote themselves and any upcoming events. The Series is about raw artistry and the process of creation; sharing with others the way in which each individual artist creates and moves differently.  Each performance is a unique palette of movement vocabulary and ideas.

This year’s Series is held at the newly developed and state of the art dance facility, Manhattan Movement and Arts Center.  The intimate setting of this beautiful black box theatre with stadium seating and simple lighting is a perfect accent to the true purpose of each evening’s performance:  Raw Artistry, Individual Creativity, Expression.

Sunday May 16th.

“The Showcase Series” is to be produced annually by :pushing progress.

Keep posted for future Showcase Events.

Manhattan Movement and Arts Center (MMAC) is a brand new 18,000 sq-ft complex dedicated to arts and dance, located on Manhattan's Upper West Side.  MMAC offers a state-of-the-art 167-seat black-box theater, an extensive array of dance and fitness open classes, and a children program based on arts, music and movement. MMAC is also the proud home of Manhattan Youth Ballet, formerly Studio Maestro, a not-for-profit pre-professional ballet school founded in 1995 by Rose Caiola.  For more information, please contact us at (212) 787-1178.
