Intensives
Continuing in their aspirations to make information accessible to the dance community, :pushing progress is excited to announce their upcoming intensives. The annual :pushing progress Winter and Summer Intensives strive to encourage each dancer to develop a deeper sense of self by educating dancers through a basic knowledge of anatomy, strengthening their understanding of technique, and further exploring the artist within each dancer. :pushing progress helps one define a solid awareness of both the physical and mental understanding of the most vital artistic tool: the human body. The :pushing progress intensives are geared for serious dancers who have an innate passion for the discipline and artistry of dance. The intensive is developed to provide both the pre-professional and the young dancer an experience that embraces attentiveness to the mind and body.
Held in New York City, the 8 hour dance days are surrounded with excellent eclectic faculty full of knowledge and experience to educate and prepare dancers in a way that truly captures the essence of the :pushing progress mindset. The core classes offered are: Ballet, Contemporary Movement, Body Awareness and Alignment, and Improvisation/Exploration.
Dancers must be the age of 13 by the first day of the intensive. Please see registration form for more information.
